I thought that with this book, the true beginner that I am (0 knowledge in piano and music theory) could learn the piano alone, without the professor. This has not been possible because the progression is much, much....... Too MUCH too fast. This is the reason of my 2 stars. This book does not begin, however for those who have a little (or more) of practice, it offers a good progression, but for each concept studied, it would take a lot more exercises. This book is very fun for beginners who are looking for the key to taming the piano. Imagine that your fingers are the sorcerer's apprentices. Basic for the kids but a reference to the great.. Really an excellent tool of work, on which to exercise for a long time and with profit. This is serious, not very attractive, but very effective. Contrary to the title, this book is not intended for "real" beginners, but to those who already have some notions of solfèges. The explanations are rather clear. The book is accompanied by MIDI files for download on their website, less convenient than MP3 files. hello, I buy this book for my two children 6 and 11 years.
